All students enrolled in SAI programs receive a U.S. or internationally recognized transcript of credit for their courses abroad based on which program the student attends.

All academic courses at all SAI schools are of the quality, duration and content appropriate to the curricula of participating college students.

Affiliate Students: If you currently attend an SAI Affiliated University, your transcript will automatically be sent to your home school. Some students (depending on the program) may have a short form to fill out and submit to SAI.

Non Affiliate Students: If you attend a school not formally affiliated with SAI, please follow the directions below for requesting your transcript.

Please note: once the term ends it may take up to 8 weeks for grades to be recorded and transcripts ready. If a student requires a rushed transcript, please contact your SAI Admissions Counselor.

FLORENCE

• Florence University of the Arts (FUA): University of South Florida is the school of record and provides academic oversight. Students will receive a U.S. transcript from the University of South Florida.
• Apicius: Beginning with Fall 2012 Apicius has been fully integrated with Florence University of the Arts and represents a “school” or department within FUA. Therefore University of South Florida is the school of record for Apicius Free Elective courses. Students will receive a U.S. transcript from University of South Florida. One and Two Year Certificate Career Programs continue to be offered at Apicius and those students receive the Certificate directly from Apicius.

SIENA

• Siena Italian Studies (SIS): Portland State University is the school of record and provides academic oversight. Students will receive a U.S. transcript from Portland State University and an Italian transcript from Siena Italian Studies.

SORRENTO

• Sant’Anna Institute – Sorrento Lingue (SASL): Alfred State, SUNY College of Technology is the school of record and provides academic oversight. Students will receive a U.S. transcript from Alfred State, SUNY College of Technology.

ROME

• John Cabot University (JCU) is a U.S. University accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Students will receive a U.S. transcript from JCU.
• Italiaidea: Fairfield University in Connecticut is the school of record and provides academic oversight. Students will receive a U.S. transcript from Fairfield University.

MILAN

• Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) is fully accredited in Italy under the authority of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). NABA is a private institution belonging to the Higher Artistic and Musical Education (AFAM) system, a section of the Italian University system. Students receive an internationally recognized transcript from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. U.S. credits from Fairfield University are also an option but require payment of an additional fee.
• Domus Academy (DA): Undergraduate students receive a US transcript from Fairfield University, Connecticut.  Master’s students receive a DA Diploma, with the option of a Master’s degree from University of Wales, requiring payment of an additional fee.

LONDON

• University of the Arts London (UAL) is accredited in the UK under the authority of H.M. Privy Council and the Department for Education & Science. University of the Arts London is a recognized Title IV institution in the U.S. Students will receive an internationally recognized transcript from UAL and a U.S. transcript from Fairfield University.

Each partner University providing U.S. credit for SAI programs abroad has different procedures for requesting additional transcripts. Choose the correct US University providing credit for your SAI program from the list below and follow instructions for requesting a transcript.

Students will be given a transcript request form to complete during orientation. This form must be completed and turned in to the SAI Rome office.

To request additional transcripts: There is a $10.00 fee for each additional transcript requested. Requests cannot be taken over the telephone or via e-mail. Transcripts cannot be produced for anyone whose record has been blocked (for outstanding University obligations – tuition and fees, library hold, and so forth). Summer 2012 Students ONLY (affiliate and non affiliate students)
Students must submit a transcript request form directly to Fairfield University, online or by mail.

Online: (no charge for 1^st transcript; fee of $6.25 for online request):

• Go to: http://www.fairfield.edu/academic/reg_transcript.html.
• Scroll down and click on National Student Clearinghouse.
• This option allows you to pay by any major credit card.

By Mail: (no charge for 1st transcript):

• Download and print the  transcript request form.
• Send completed form to: Cindy McLay, University Registrar’s Office, Fairfield University, The Kelley Center, Fairfield, CT 06824.

• Send completed form to admissions@saiprograms.com or
• Send completed form to Study Abroad Italy, 7160 Keating Avenue, CA 95472

To request additional transcripts: Submit a letter by mail or fax (see contact information at the bottom of document) that includes: Full name, Current mailing address & telephone number, SSN, Any previous names of record, Dates of attendance (approximate is okay), Date of birth, Complete address(es) to which the official transcript(s) should be mailed, Number of transcripts to send to each address, Signature required – unsigned requests cannot be processed. The fee for official transcripts is $4 each. You may pay by check, money order, Visa, or MasterCard.
