Orientation

Only students enrolled in an SAI FULL PROGRAM participate in the Study Abroad Italy portion of Orientation. However all students participate in the orientation provided by the school upon arrival.

During the first few days of the program, the SAI on-site program coordinator organizes a series of meetings and events which are designed to provide students with a thorough orientation of the city and surrounding area, and a full explanation of the academic program, including an introduction to the faculty and staff. By the end of orientation, students will have a clear understanding of their new environment and feel confident moving about the city independently

SAI Full Program students must submit a Student Arrival Information sheet before departure, so that our Florence staff are prepared for your arrival.  All SAI students arriving at the Florence airport during the official check-in dates will be met by an SAI representative who will coordinate shuttle transfer to the school for program check-in. After check-in, students and their baggage will be taken directly to their apartment. This service is at no cost to the student, but is covered by the Full Program cost.
