Learning beyond the classroom
Internships are an excellent way to extend learning beyond the classroom, explore career options, and build professional networks. SAI Internships are not limited to undergraduate students studying abroad. There are opportunities for recent college graduates and those exploring a new career. Internships offered In Italy allow interns the chance to develop or improve their Italian language skills and gain real world experience in professional environments. All Internships are available for US academic credit, with an additional fee, or not for credit.
SAI offers 3 Academic Internships in Florence:
- Option 1: Full Time Internship with all Full Program benefits (housing, cultural activities, excursions etc). Click here to apply.
- Option 2: Part Time Internship that includes 12 credits of academic course work at Florence University of the Arts + a 3 credit Internship. US credits for courses at FUA are included; US credit for the part time internship requires payment of an additional fee. Click here to apply.

| OPTION 2: PART TIME INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Internship (3 credits) + Academic Course Work (12 credits) 15 weeks Offered in Spring and Fall Cost: $16,000 |

Students choosing this option, will enroll in one internship (3 credits) PLUS academic course work at Florence University of the Arts (12 credits) for a total of 15 weeks. Students must first apply to a semester program, checking the internship box on the application (students will then receive a supplementary internship application to complete).
