Travel Advice

While each student is responsible for his or her own travel arrangements, for 10 years SAI has worked with Waldorf Travel Service to offer students the lowest available student-priced airline tickets. We encourage students to book their flights WELL IN ADVANCE (at least 90 days prior to departure), and to be sure to notify the travel agent that they are a SAI student attending UAL. Please note that the number of student-priced tickets is limited. Contact Waldorf Travel (see below) as soon as possible to make arrangements.

All Semester (Fall/Spring) students who fly into the London Heathrow Airport (LHR Airport Code) between the hours of 9am and 4pm will be picked up from the airport and taken to their student apartment. This service is at no cost to students enrolled in the SAI program.

We suggest that students arrive in London with 200 British Pounds to pay for taxis, trains, food and other immediate needs.

Arrival Days

• Spring 2012: January 4, 2012
• Summer I 2012: June 30, 2012
• Summer II 2012: July 21, 2012

All semester and summer students will be required to fill out an Arrival Form to reserve the complimentary airport pick-up service.

Students are free to make their own travel plan on weekends. All students must inform SAI of any overnight extra curricular trip planned. Please fill out the SAI Travel Itinerary Form each time you schedule a trip so that Study Abroad Italy knows your whereabouts.
