Orientation

During the first two days during the program, the SAI on-site Program Coordinator organizes a series of meetings and events which are designed to provide students with a thorough orientation of the city and surrounding area, and a full explanation of the academic program, including an introduction to the faculty and staff

On arrival day/s, DA Undergraduate students are met at the Milan Malpensa airport (MXP) and taken to the center by bus for the Program Check-in.

DA Master’s students are given a voucher for to take the train from the airport to their student apartments. Students can arrive anytime.

Upon arrival in Italy, all SAI students receive a cloth welcome bag that contains a few simple items meant to help refresh them after a long flight: a bottle of water, a snack, tissues, and soap. The bag also contains an orientation folder, which provides SAI office and school contact information and emergency numbers and an orientation schedule. The bags are made of recycled material, and can be reused to do your marketing, instead of the store plastic bags.

By the end of orientation, students will have a clear understanding of their new environment and feel confident moving about the city independently.
