US Academic Credit
The information below is applicable to students
enrolled in any Domus Academy Summer Program.
STUDENTS ENROLLED FROM AFFILIATE UNIVERSITIES:
Students enrolled in SAI programs from affiliated universities will receive US credit for courses through their home University. SAI will automatically process the first transcript for Affiliate students and forward them on to the home University. To request additional copies of your Italian transcript please see the “To Request an Italian Transcript” section below.
Some Affiliate students will also receive US credits from Fairfield University. The first transcript is free and SAI will coordinate all aspects of having this first transcript sent from Fairfield to the Affiliate University. To request additional copies of your Italian transcript please see the “To Request a Fairfield Transcript” section below.
STUDENTS ENROLLED FROM NON-AFFILIATE UNIVERSITIES:
SAI welcomes students from all schools in the US and Internationally. Students enrolling from non-affiliated universities will receive US course credit from Fairfield University in Connecticut. SAI will automatically process non-affiliate students through Fairfield University with no additional fee; however students will need to submit a transcript request form to Fairfield University. Please see the “To Request a Fairfield transcript” section below. John Cabot University (Rome) students will receive US credit directly from John Cabot, a US accredited University.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
For those students that are not receiving US Credits for their studies abroad, SAI will automatically process the first transcript and forward them onto the home student’s home address on file. To request additional copies of your Italian transcript please see the “To Request an Italian Transcript” section below.
TO REQUEST AN ITALIAN TRANSCRIPT:
If an affiliate student needs additional copies of their Italian transcript, those can be obtained through SAI. Transcript costs are $5.00 per transcript issued and payment should be sent to:Study Abroad Italy

You can expedite this process by requesting a transcript and paying online. Go to the Payment Page
Enter the dollar amount in the "other" box at the bottom of the page and place in notes section "transcripts”. Transcript payments made online will be processed within 2 business days.
Please note: once a term ends it may take up to 8 weeks for grades to be recorded and for a transcript to arrive at the home University. If a student needs a transcript rushed, they should contact their admissions officer.
TO REQUEST A TRANSCRIPT FROM FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY:
Students enrolling from non-affiliated universities will receive US course credit from Fairfield University in Connecticut. Students will need to submit a transcript request form to Fairfield University. You may request a transcript online or by post.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and click on Transcript request form.
You will now need to download and print this form.

It can take up to 8 weeks for grades to be recorded at Fairfield and a transcript issued. You may, however, send your requests at any time. Once grades have been recorded, you will be sent an email notifying you.
