MEAL PLANS AT JOHN CABOT UNIVERSITY:

Do you want the convenience of a home cooked meal (American or Italian) after a long day studying? Join the JCU Meal Plan and enjoy the convenience of a quick meal between or after classes. At our Tiber Cafeteriam, you can cool off from the Roman heat with fresh fruit, our extensive salad bar and an iced cappuccino! Indulge in classic Italian dishes like pasta al pesto, macaroni with tomato and basil or refreshing summer pasta salad. But if you need a taste of home, your favorites, hamburgers, fries and pizza are also available daily. You can sign up for the meal plan of your choice upon arrival in Rome. You cannot sign up for the meal plan through SAI before departure.

Tiber Cafe Hours:
Monday through Thursday: 8:00am to 9:30pm
Friday: 8:00am to 5:30pm

Coffee Bar Hours:
Monday through Friday: Breakfast from 8:00am Lunch from 12:15pm to 2:45pm

What’s Provided:

Option A: 60 meals in 15 weeks
Weekly validity- 4 meals (lunch) per week, which expire at the end of each week

Option B: 30 meals in 15 weeks
Weekly validity- 2 meals (lunch) per week, which expire at the end of each week.

Option C: 20 meals as you go
Can be purchased at any time, No expiration date (valid only within the given semester/session)

Option D: 75 meals super-saver (Monday through Friday)
Weekly validity- 5 meals (lunch) per week, which expire at the end of each week

Costs:
Option A-60 meals – $ 499
Option B-30 meals – $ 275
Option C-20 meals – $ 175
Option D-75 meals – $599

Conditions of Use: Students will collect vouchers on a weekly basis. Vouchers can be retrieved from the Student Affairs office every Thursday (from 9am to 5pm).

  • Students are responsible for the safekeeping of their vouchers.
  • JCU will NOT be responsible for lost vouchers.
  • Unused vouchers cannot be refunded or carried over from one week to the next week.

Only the participating student is permitted to use the purchased meal plan vouchers. A student ID card must be presented along with the vouchers. Vouchers are not transferable and they cannot be resold; they will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Unused vouchers are not refundable. Meals are paid for by presenting the vouchers and signing them in the front of the restaurant cashier. A proper JCU student ID must be presented at that time.

Activation of Meal Plan: In order to begin using the meal plan students must obtain their FIRST VOUCHER PACKET during the week of Orientation from the Housing and Residential Life Office.
