Farewell London

Leaving London is definitely bittersweet, the time went by way too fast. I think for me coming and studying in London was one of the best decisions I could have made.

I have learned so much both at the University of Arts and also about the city of London. I have learned a lot about how to be “city savvy” which is a vital skill to have wherever you go around the world. Before coming here, I really wanted to challenge myself and give myself a personal test of how I can adjust to a new culture and adapting to a different environment. After three months I think I can say that I have done well. I can definitely see myself coming back to London in the future and hopefully working in the city.

I think I have changed in a better way from this experience, I am more open minded about experiencing new things. After doing some traveling within Europe I can say my fear of flying has improved a little bit as well. Most importantly I do feel a bit more confident about my field of study, I have learned that I most definitely would like to continue pursuing a future career in the fashion industry and I don’t plan on changing my mind anytime soon. I think that for me going home will be a bit of a culture shock at first, just because Seattle is not as fast paced as London is and so it will take some adjustment time. I really enjoyed my time here, and if I could I would try to stay here for a whole year. I highly suggest for anyone who wants to try something new and change their environment to study abroad, it will change your perspective in a positive way.
