Crisis Communication
We encourage students and their families to discuss and establish a contact system that can be used in the event of a crisis on either side. In most instances of crisis, parents or guardians should attempt to contact students first before they attempt to contact individuals at SAI in order to gain reassurance of their safety.
Emergency Phone Numbers
While we understand that safety related questions and concerns arise, the SAI on-site emergency phones are intended primarily for students currently attending SAI programs who require immediate assistance. Parents of currently enrolled students are welcome to contact the U.S. office during regular business hours at 1-800-655-8965 to inquire about safety situations and concerns, as well as all emergency matters and to use these emergency phones listed below only when the U.S. office is closed and there is a true emergency involving their student. For all non-emergency matters, please wait until the U.S. office is open and contact us during regular business hours at 1-800-655-8965.
When our U.S. offices are closed, SAI considers the emergency contacts in each European host city to be the best resource for responding to urgent student situations. Our emergency staff is specifically SAI-trained to handle student emergencies and because they are located in the same city as your student, they are able to take prompt, appropriate action.
