Travels
Samantha, Florence, Spring 2012
April 20, 2012

Unfortunately, another month has passed, which means I am getting closer and closer to my departure date. However, with the month of March came great memories that I will never forget. March seemed like a short month because I traveled most of it. First, my boyfriend Troy visited me. We traveled to Pisa, Siena, and Rome. Then came spring break, where I traveled to England (London, Bath, Salisbury, and Stonehenge) where I saw the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London, the  Roman Baths,  Stonehenge, and much more.

I also traveled to Ireland (the country of my ancestors) where I saw Dublin, Glendalough, and the beautiful Cliffs of Moher. My experiences over this past month were more than I could ever dream of.  I visited places, which I never believed I would be able to see. I met people who taught me about themselves and their culture while simultaneously teaching me about  myself and my culture.

All of this has given me a new awareness on life.  I now know that the world extends far beyond my hometown. So far this has the been the most life changing experiences of my life and I am not ready for it to end. However, it is not over yet and I still have plenty more adventures to come. I am filling the remainder of my time traveling throughout Italy, Germany, and Croatia.
