New Sorrento Fall 2017 Grant
January 20, 2017

SAI is pleased to announce a brand new $800 grant offered by Sant’Anna Institute. The grant will automatically be awarded to all SAI Sorrento Fall 2017 students – no application required!

About Sant’Anna Institute
Sant’Anna Institute (SA) is housed in an historic former convent and school, located in the old center of Sorrento, just steps from the sea of the Amalfi coast. Each classroom offers stunning views of the Gulf of Naples to one side, and olive groves to the other. The school’s grounds include lovely gardens and fruit trees and it is a short walk to the center of town.

At SA, visiting students enroll in courses focused on language, art, archaeology, literature, social studies, business, natural sciences and liberal arts, while incorporating language development and cultural immersion inside and outside the classroom. The small and intimate nature of the SA program allows students to fully immerse themselves in Italian life and culture while building lasting relationships with their fellow students. Students wishing to broaden their studies can take part in the many internships offered, while those wanting to give back to their community can get involved in the volunteer program.

Fall semester students have two options of study at Sant’Anna Institute.

Fall Semester Elective (12 – 18 credits)
Students enrolled in the elective semester program enroll in one Italian language course, as well as 3 to 5 elective courses from the variety of course offerings, for a total of 12 – 18 credits. Students can also choose to complete a part-time 3 or 6 credit internship alongside regular coursework.

Fall Semester Full-Time Internship (12 credits)
Students enrolled in the Full-Time Semester Internship program, offered only in the Fall, have the option of completing a 600 hour internship for 12 credits, or a 450 hour internship for 9 credits paired with a 3 credit Italian language course. Internship students participate in weekly on-site activities and complete related coursework to earn credits. Internships are offered in an array of fields and are an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.
