Elementary Persian I
This is an introductory course on the Persian language through the instruction of the Farsi alphabet, its phonetic system and its basic grammar. The course aims to provide students with an elementary level of written and spoken proficiency in Persian. Alongside the textbooks and class discussions, students will work with extracts from newspapers, modern short stories and appropriate classical poems.
