I traveled to Marrkech, Morocco and saw the most spectacular waterfall called Ouzoud Waterfall.
Hi! My name is Aubrey, and oh how thankful I am for the opportunity to study abroad. The human experience to me is seen like that of a quilt, mix matched pieces of people and experiences that are sewn together to form the person you are. Study abroad has grown my quilt to be more colorful and more complex than I could have ever dreamed. It has also made me want to forever pursue growing my experiences and meeting new people.

I took a day trip from Vienna on my solo travels and went to Hallstatt, Austria. This little town inspired the town of Arendelle in Frozen.
The connections and community I made here in Florence, like volunteering to teach English in an elementary school, has helped me feel grounded and comfortable to pursue as much travel as possible. I made such genuine connections with friends here in Florence and have traveled all around the world together. I know these friends I met only months ago will always be a part of my life. The people I met during solo travels were the easiest connections I have ever made, and with such wonderful, open people.

I traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland and got to see highland cows and hang out with them while we read our books.
Solo traveling showed me the magic of human connection and how many friends there are still to make. I learned independence, confidence, and joy, all by choosing to step into my fears knowing that I am capable. Remember that you are capable as well, and the best friends and memories come to you when you step out of your comfort zone and say that first “hello”!
