Dreamy Days in Florence

The month of February gave me a chance to truly fall in love with Italy. I went on the trip to Rome on a SAI/FUA trip which was absolutely wonderful. I saw all of the major attractions of Rome and met friends that will last a lifetime. The trip was unforgettable. My favorite part by far of Rome was the Trevi fountain though that I made a wish I will never forget. The history lessons we were taught while strolling through Rome were phenomenal. I could not have asked for more out of a trip to Rome.

February also gave me time to explore Florence. My roommates and I made many trips touring outside the familiar area around where we live. We walked over to the Michelangelo Square and the day could not have been more perfect. The sky and weather were amazing. We ate gelato and sat staring out over Florence for hours. Moments like this, where we have wandered with no sense of time or rush, are moments I will always remember.

Also, I was able to make it to Milan my last weekend in February. I have dreamed of working in the fashion industry since I was little therefore being able to tour Milan was one of my dreams. I have family friends who live in Milan and they treated me as if I was part of their family all weekend. I ate traditional Italian meals and became close with all of their friends. Also, I could not have asked for a more perfect weekend to visit Milan because the weather was beautiful. I saw everything in Milan that I wanted to as I strolled through the city for two days with Stefania. I decided that weekend that one day I would move to Milan to work later in life and that decision will not be one I take lightly.

Overall, February was an exciting month. I do not think I could have done much more in the month it was full of great adventures. I made a wish at the Trevi fountain that was followed by a dreamy days in Florence and my dreams coming true in Milan.
