A Dream

I can’t believe I am just a month away now from hopping on my flight back to the U.S. I have anjoyed and appreciated every moment this month from the beginning of warmer days to the accomplishment of taking midterms only in Italian. While I can’t say it has been an easy month, much like Spring, it had its ups and downs, the beautiful days that light up the countryside and those torrential rains (and even a little hail) that just seem to come out of nowhere.

Right now we are all on our Spring Break so I am sitting in Parc Ciutadella in Barcelona, Spain. I have been here two days and have explored just the beginning of a beautiful city full of history and love. Before arriving here, two friends and I spent three days in Morocco, filling ourselves with couscous and dodging the hands and calls of merchants in the maze of souks. I still can’t believe some of the things I saw and am truly appreciative of catching a glimpse of such an overwhelming and active city. From my first jolt of a call to prayer, to my last glass of orange juice at stand #36, Morocco was a blast.

Tomorrow I head to Milan to finish up my break and to spend Easter with some relatives. I have never met them before and they speak no english so I hope my italian has stuck with me!

It all feels like a dream that is passing just a little too fast, but hopefully my last month in italy will be the best.
