My time spent in Milan truly changed my outlook on life & the decision to study abroad was easily one of the best things I have ever decided to do. Not only did it broaden my view of the world but also of myself. Spending a semester in Italy and travelling throughout Europe really opened me up to different cultures and showed me that in the world there are a million different ways that people do life, and not one way is “right”. Trying new foods, roaming the streets, talking with locals, the smells, the buzz of the city; all these things I have already missed since being home but I will always cherish because these memories have become a part of who I am.

I want to thank SAI for providing me with this experience and I can only encourage my peers to fight all fears, go out on a limb, and study abroad because it is nothing but rewarding and exciting. Spending time abroad has implications beyond what I can already see and really paves the way for us students to see the world from a new perspective, make life long friends and memories, and to have an adventure of a lifetime.
