Obsessed

I have officially been here a month and I am so obsessed with the city! There is not a day that goes by that I don’t find something new to love. Whether it be a view of the city, a decadent treat, or a local cafe. Its amazing how fast you become accustomed to the city! I no longer need a map, and I have found my routes to get around the city. Once you reach that point, its the best feeling. The weather is finally beginning to warm up and its so refreshing! A couple of weekends back, my roommate and I went to the Piazzale Michelangelo and it was absolutely breath taking to say the least. It was a beautiful saturday afternoon and the city looked stunning from the top. The walk all the way up is also quite the workout, but that was needed after all the amazing food I have been eating! Florence is full of foods that you just can’t find in the states.

Going around the city to different food markets, restaurants, and cafes is one of the most entertaining things you can do in the city because there is so much to choose from and everything is so fresh! I was lucky enough to be here during the chocolate fair in Santa Maria Novella and it was just as amazing as expected! I had the chance to go to the Tuscany a couple smaller cities in Italy with SAI and it was a great trip! The towns were little and beautiful and I loved getting to see another side of Italy! I was lucky enough to go horseback riding on a beautiful trail over looking the wine vineyards of Tuscany. I will never forget that moment and the feeling of being so lucky to have this experience during my time abroad!
