The two year Master of Arts in Interior Design at NABA helps students explore the boundaries and constraints of the world of interior design, acquiring and widening their knowledge, critical awareness, and original thinking. Students develop a highly experimental attitude to pursue innovation both in theory and practice, through a widely interdisciplinary design approach. During an intensive two-year exploration of interior spaces, students learn to envision the future: how we will live, how we will work, how we will communicate through interior spaces.

Program Introduction
In recent decades interiors have played an increasingly important role in the individual and collective living spaces of large global cities. An “inside” space is essentially constructed and relating to it means becoming part of a complex body. Interior design can “enliven” the public and private spaces of a contemporary city: it is a tool that allows one to give soul and meaning to places, both physical and mental, within which the life of the inhabitants is defined. The program features a series of design courses in which students are expected to address highly complex conceptual and operational issues, through an interdisciplinary approach that is open to innovation and cultural exchange. There are also courses on the development of specific methodological and technical approaches to the design of interiors and fittings. The theoretical courses address the exploration of the historical and contemporary panorama of Italian design, as well as research in the field of the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. The program is completed with projects in collaboration with companies and with intensive interdisciplinary workshops in which students can explore the relationship between interior design and other creative areas, including service design, communication design and exhibition design.
Learning Outcomes and Career Opportunities

They may also design public spaces for important functions (such as offices, hospitals, schools, and universities), in addition to hotel spaces in an era of mass tourism.
